summertime smells

lately I’ve discovered a small joy – when I leave and walk to the bus stop each day, I pass a fence covered in vines, roses, ivy, thorns, berries, etc. this mess of bush smells like summer… in a way I’ve not smelled it since I was a kid.

when i approach it, i instantly recall how vividly i perceived my surroundings as a child. i suppose i stopped engaging with the world as i got older & started looking at it instead. it’s a shame, really. i loved the light and sounds and smells of summer.

reworkin’ it.

yes i am. someday. maybe.

Room 318.

Well, the Manor of Art show is over and disassembled and in storage now. I’ll put up pictures soon for people who didn’t get to experience it firsthand.

You’re invited!

This August I’m doing an installation in Rooms 317 & 318 in the invitation-only Manor of Art show at Milepost 5. I’d love it if you could come by and check it out at some point during the 10 days the show is up… It’s a work I’ve been considering for some time, and it has its roots in the numerous discussions I’ve had with my friend Nikola Boscanin over the years…
